JAKARTA – Almeri Oud has reaffirmed its position as a leading Indonesian premium agarwood (gaharu) brand by participating in the 26th Inacraft 2026. Held from February 4–8 at the Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC), this year’s exhibition carries the theme "Exploring and Celebrating Womenpreneurs in Craft."

Sintha Dewi W.K, Director of Sales & Marketing and co-founder of Almeri Oud, stated that the event is a vital momentum to introduce the richness of Indonesian agarwood to both national and international audiences.

From Export Roots to Domestic Innovation

Originally focused on exporting raw agarwood and oud oil to the Middle East—specifically Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar—Almeri Oud faced a turning point during the 2020 pandemic. Export hurdles led the brand to diversify into processed agarwood products for the domestic market.

"We saw a high demand locally, especially for those seeking agarwood as souvenirs from Umrah and Hajj pilgrimages," Sintha explained during an interview at Booth 116, Main Hall.

Empowering Women and Celebrating Heritage

The 2026 theme of Womenpreneurs resonates deeply with Almeri Oud, as approximately 75% of their production and processing team are women. This female-led workforce handles everything from raw material selection to the creation of finished goods.

Almeri Oud’s philosophy, "Blend of Heritage," bridges Middle Eastern traditions with Indonesian roots. Sintha noted that burning agarwood is a long-standing tradition in the Indonesian archipelago, particularly in Java, predating its widespread popularity in the Arab world.

Product Highlights and Quality Assurance

Visitors to the Almeri Oud booth can explore over 50 items, including:

  • Raw Agarwood: Sourced from Merauke (Papua), Pontianak, and Malinau (Kalimantan).
  • Al Azraq Premium Wood: A top-tier Kalimantan agarwood favored by Middle Eastern collectors since 2018.
  • Al Khaleej Bakhoor: A signature blend of Merauke agarwood and select fragrance oils.
  • Oud Oils and Perfumes: Ranging from affordable selections (approx. Rp155,000) to premium pieces worth tens of millions of rupiah.

Sintha emphasized that they exclusively use Aquilaria malaccensis and maintain strict authenticity. "Our Middle Eastern clients are experts in agarwood; we never use synthetic materials to ensure their continued trust," she added.

Future Outlook

With a background in tourism, Sintha has successfully integrated Almeri Oud into five-star hotels and luxury restaurants across Jakarta. Looking ahead, the brand aims to expand its reach beyond the Middle East, targeting new markets in Korea, Japan, and Malaysia.

"We want the world to recognize Indonesian agarwood as a high-value national treasure that blends quality, authenticity, and strong cultural values," Sintha concluded.
